A cat earns the title of grand champion (GC) in the Cat Fanciers' Association by defeating 200 other champions in class judging or best in show finals. A cat becomes a champion after it has won six "winners" ribbons in its breed class. "Opens" are cats who are not yet champions and compete for winners ribbons in class judging. Once a cat has earned six winners ribbons from six different judges, it is transferred to champion and competes for points towards grand.

Spayed and neutered cats are shown in a separate class called premiership. To earn the title of grand premier (GP), a cat must defeat 75 other premiers in class or finals judging.

I had my first grand champion in 1989, a lovely little chocolate point female named Bojen Mocarra of Thaifong. Two years later, a chocolate point daughter of Mocarra earned her title and became my first homebred grand - GC Thaifong's Djamoca. Mocarra and Djamoca are beyond most of my present cats.

The following is a list of my grand champions. While many of these cats were bred by me, I also enjoy showing cats from other people's breeding programs to their full potential. Over the years, I have bred and/or owned 105 grand champions/premiers - 60 with the Thaifong prefix (43 grand champions and 17 grand premiers) and 47 from other breeders.
